"An Early American Superstition"
People carry all sorts of superstitious tokens with them as they go down the aisle. Most of us are familiar with the something old, new, borrowed and blue tradition, but there are many others. One early American custom was for the bride to pin a small bag or sachet into the petticoat or crinoline of the skirt of her wedding dress. This little bag contained a small piece of bread, cloth, wood and a single one-dollar bill. The tradition goes that the bride was making sure that there would always be enough food, clothing, shelter and money for the wedding couple in the future.
I am in love with Blinc! This is the newest mascara on the market.
It will not smudge! You can cry all you want and it will not
smear. Being a dancer I have always had a problem with mascara
running because of the sweat factor and am always checking the
mirror to make sure that I have not metamorphosed into a raccoon.
The only problem is that it is removed with water and pressure
so you can't touch your lashes. Buy some on ebay to
get the best price and see for yourself! It's great!
